Originally a farmhouse, opposite the village church and overlooking Insh Marshes Bird Reserve. Soillerie lies back from the road behind a lawn and (on three sides) walled garden. The small annexe to the right of the picture is not included.

Soillerie  is now a modern tastefully furnished house. The heating is by radiators throughout and two open fires. The ground floor has a small porch, hall, lounge with TV, DVD, video players and radio/tape/CD players.   

There is a second lounge, seen here, through to the sun lounge with a TV, DVD and video players.
Included in the charge is Sky-Plus (with integral recording and pausing facility), including sports channels and the usual free channels (available to either TV).
 Utility room with washing machine. W.C. and a walk-in shower.




Upstairs (stairgate available) there are three twin-bedded bedrooms (one a through room ) with washbasins;  bathroom with w.c. , bath and walkin shower.
 Bed linen (sheets, duvet covers and pillow cases) and personal towels are not provided but may be hired from the agents.


SLEEPS: Six.     One dog is allowed by arrangement.


WEEKLY RENT:   £310 - £520  inclusive of electricity and heating.
New Year on request.


Insh is 10 miles south of Aviemore, on the very scenic B970 road which runs from Kingussie along the eastern side of Insh Marshes and the river Spey. There are walks onto nearby moors, hills and forests and down to the reserve. the area also has many species of wild flowers including orchids and animals from the large red deer to the small red squirrel, roe deer, otters and pine martens. The Highland Wildlife Park is nearby and the Reindeer Centre is in  the Glenmore area on the road the ski area.


To find Soillerie from the south, follow the A9 north and take the B9152 turn off to Newtonmore. Go through Newtonmore to Kingussie and then turn right onto the B970, signposted 'Railway Station and Ruthven Barracks' (ancient monument). Insh is 5 miles from Kingussie along the B970. Soillerie will be on the left hand side, at the far end of the village opposite the small church. Turn left into the private driveway.
