Inveruglas, a haven for wildlife, comprises a dozen scattered properties, situated over 900 feet above sea level, with spectacular views to Insh Marshes Bird Reserve, the River Spey, mountains and forests. The community is approached by a hard, private unmade road which, at about a third of a mile west of Insh village, leads up from the B970. Kingussie, 5 miles away, is the nearest town and railway station; Aviemore is 11 miles to the north.
