Ballintean is set in magnificent Glenfeshie at the heart of Strathspey, an area of outstanding natural beauty.  Vast ancient forests, hidden lochs, rivers and heather clad moorland flank the famous River Spey and its tributaries.  The snow capped hills of the Cairngorms massif create a dramatic backdrop.  Such surroundings provide a perfect environment for an inspiring yet relaxing holiday.

The Bungalow sits in a private elevated position surrounded by extensive pine and birch woodland.  The rushing waters of the River Feshie close by, provide a soothing tonic to the pressures of modern life.  Built in 1992, The Bungalow offers a modern, comfortable home, comprehensively equipped and tastefully furnished.

The Bungalow can accommodate six guests in three double/twin rooms.  All have spacious fitted wardrobes and there are two bathrooms (one en-suite).  Duvets and linen are provided, along with towels and tea towels.  A cot and high chair are available.

The airy sitting room has a large stone open fireplace with logs and coal included.  There is a TV/VCR and music system.  The fully fitted pine dining kitchen is equipped with all the amenities of home including fridge, freezer, oven, microwave, and dishwasher.  A separate utility room houses a washing machine and dryer.  The large farmhouse table is ideal for a relaxing family meal after a day exploring the hills.

The grounds of Ballintean consist of scattered woodland and herb rich pasture bordering the river.  Guests are welcome to fish the river and, during the summer months, a swim in its clear waters is the perfect refreshment!

Wildlife enthusiasts need look no further.  Roe Deer browse around The Bungalow whilst Red Squirrels and Crested Tits abound in the adjacent forest.  We have our own floodlit viewing hides for Badgers and Pine Martens.  We also have a small stocked lochan to attract fishing Ospreys during the summer.

A stay at Ballintean offers you the opportunity to immerse yourself in the space and solitude of the Scottish Highlands whilst enjoying the warmth and hospitality that The Bungalow provides.  Whenever you choose to come, you can be assured of a warm welcome and memories to savour.
